Ruth Ballin – Owner & Creative Director
Ruth Ballin is an award-winning marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience in destination marketing, arts marketing, downtown revitalization programs, and community event planning. Ruth’s thoughtful and creative style, combined with resourcefulness and attention to detail, have contributed to her reputation for excellence in the communities where she works.
One of her recent project includes launching and managing a five-year comprehensive destination marketing program for Explore Lompoc including brand development and strategy, website design & content, social media management, print & digital ad campaigns, press trip coordination, and tourism partner outreach. Ruth has also been instrumental in growing attendance and national prominence for the Ojai Playwrights Conference over the past ten years through strategic, low-cost marketing programs.
Ruth holds a BA Degree in International Relations from George Washington University, with a concentration in communications. Professional education includes participation in numerous conferences and seminars on topics related to tourism, downtown revitalization, community events, and marketing. In her spare time, Ruth applies her creative talents to mosaic art, the inspiration behind her business logo.
Kellie Meehan – Client Relations, Graphic Design & Web Development
Kellie excels in developing and executing sound marketing strategies, as well as conceptualizing and designing all manner of marketing collateral materials, from web to print. For Ballin, Kellie has provided graphic design and/or web services for the Ojai Visitors Bureau, Oxnard Convention & Visitors Bureau, Oxnard Salsa Festival, Ojai Playwrights Conference, Oxnard Downtown Management District and Ventura County Housing Conference. She holds a BA in Creative Writing from UCSB.
Aimee Allred – Graphic Design & E-Mail Marketing
Aimee earned a certification of Graphic Design for Web/Digital from the Technology Development Center in Ventura, and is a skilled and creative graphic designer. She brings a modern taste and perspective to the pieces she works on, as well as up-to-date knowledge on current web structure, coding and development. She has worked with Ballin since 2010, providing graphics for marketing collateral and email design, website design and CSS programming services.
Nicole Bosman – Web Programmer, Online Marketing, SEO, Social Media, Video
Nicole is a talented web programmer with more than a dozen years experience in the field. She has worked in all levels of the development process, from requirements gathering through deployment on small to large scale website projects. Her understanding of user interaction from a design perspective and her expertise in programming and SEO make her uniquely suited to lead the web programming projects. Nicole brings expertise in SEO, Facebook marketing, and video production to The Ballin team.
Leticia Wilson – Social Media & Digital Strategy
Leticia is an exceptional marketing strategist, specializing in retail and restaurant marketing, special events, social media and digital strategies. Leticia has worked with Ballin on marketing and PR initiatives for the Ojai Visitors Bureau, Oxnard Downtown Management District, and Oxnard Salsa Festival. Leticia is a Certified Marketing Director through the International Council of Shopping Centers.
